Finding Neverland

Every morning as I take my walk to Victoria Park I stare around at the sky, and then the old clock attached to the brick building. Finally I gaze at the ground and walk past the words in clear font in light blue chalk “Neverland”. When I step over the words I like to think I’m walking into an imaginary world. The park is beautiful and full of colourful flowers to make your eyes pop of happiness, almost literally. If only we could all contain our child at heart imagination throughout our whole lives. How we would see the world so differently. The truth is we can. When I was younger I watched Peter Pan and then I watched Finding Neverland. The film is a beautiful story that reminds us that our imagination is so powerful and magical. It can take us to a different world of adventures and endless possibilities. Nobody can possibly be normal. Unfortunately, in today’s society, more and more people are conforming to normal. I ask you to please tell yourself, I am unique and completely special the way I am.

“Mad Hatter: “Have I gone mad?”
Alice: “I’m afraid so. You’re entirely bonkers. But I’ll tell you a secret. All the best people are.”
― Lewis Carroll. Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland
